Modèle:Traduction Christian Vanneque was head sommelier of La Tour d'Argent, a famous three star restaurant in Paris. The royalty of nations, stars of Hollywood and political leaders have dined at La Tour d'Argent.
He served as a judge at the Paris Wine Tasting of 1976.
He also participated in the Judgment of Paris 30th Anniversary Wine Tasting. He said he was "very impressed" with the results, which were a "wonderfully sustained victory" for California wines. "I don't know if I will be able to go back to France." He explained that, "After a second time (that California wines win), they will kill me."
